Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I see introductory threads here, so I figured I should introduce myself.
My name is Jean-Luc Picard, Captain of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E (and also NCC-1701-D, and the
Stargazer when they were in operation).
Alright, now for the actual me.
My RL friend and I founded Opticon Studios, which is a place for programmers to host their projects, and to develop them. I am not an experienced programmer, and know very little about it (I'm currently teaching myself C++, which is going "well"). I handle the website, the forums, and the blog, and also manage all business-related matters with Opticon. Such as appropriating donations to buy software, to pay Eric and I, to donate to our hosting site, and so on. I also try to make sure everything stays nice and legal. Unless otherwise stated, Opticon is a firm believer in the Open Source Initiative, and we keep our code open. You can visit us here:

Right now I'm trying to get favicons sorted out.
I'm a huge gamer-geek as well. I originally hated Star Trek, and was a firm believe that Star Wars was better. Right around the time SW: Episode I: The Phantom Menace came to theaters, I lost all faith in Mr. Lucas, and abandoned it. I do still like the originals. Also, in seventh grade, my English teacher and I warred over Star Wars vs Star Trek. (TNG, by the way). I frequently neglected Star Trek. However, rather recently, I watched Star Trek: TOS, which is eh. It did persuade me to watch TNG, which I love. And firmly believe that TNG is better than the prequel-era Star Wars, and is equal, if not better than Star Wars.
Star Trek has led me to become even geekier, and make my Ubuntu box look like the LCARS OS. You can view pictures of my actual computer, and of the LOSS Program
here. I'm a very open person, and you can ask me anything you like. If you require my email, it is set as public.
Thanks!
