I have the answer you seek! After long hours of trial, i can complete the dreaded demon waves without a scratch. The recipe for success is:

1 Fast craft with 2 missile ports. I used a khukri, which is only 100000.
12 Dumbfire missiles. These are unguided, but fast, and they HURT, at over 60 MJ of damage.

Simply find your enemy, then gun your afterburners, and weave like crazy, to avoid the demons fire. Flee until you are 15000 k away from them, then turn, kill the engines, and wait. Line the demons up in your sights, then, when they reach 8000 k away, let rip with all your guns, and a quick double tap of 2 missiles, then dive downward and speed away again. You should be rewarded with 2 craft destroyed messages, though i have only tried this on easier, which is neccessary for these missions . fly away and repeat when you are 15000k away again.

This works, because the dumbfires are fast and powerful enough to get a kill with a single hit, anywhere on the craft. As long as you aim well, this succeeds every time, and when there is only 1 craft left, get up on its neck and take it out the normal way.

I hear you get better accuracy with the auto-targeting upgrade from perry, this works on missle launchers. I tried this mission like 4 times and I was tierd which instantly pissed me off when I died I'll have to go back and try it agian with this tactic. Thanks
